Network Automation Engineer - ASIA Region

As a Network Automation Engineer you will lead our efforts in working with customers and partners to help them understand the power of the netYCE framework. Your focus will be presales, implementation and partner support. You are able to listen to customer requirements, align these with our technical solutions and translate these to working implementations. You have a strong background in networking with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Together with the regional manager for Strategic Alliances & Business Development, you will contribute to the growth of NetYCE in Asia. You work closely with the implementation and development teams in the Netherlands.

The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled and motivated network engineer who is eager to set the next steps in the world of network automation. The candidate is enthusiastic, brings positive energy and likes to work in a thriving team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and map them to the NetYCE solution
  • Lead technical implementation projects from installation to successful deployment
  • Demonstrate netYCE products and services to customers on-site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows
  • Provide technical support in sales presentations, customer meetings and demos
  • Ensure our partners are well informed, properly trained and set up to successfully achieve our shared business goals
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners throughout the sales and implementation cycle 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field and/or 5 years solid network experience with a minimal Network Professional certification of any vendor. 
  • Experience with network design and -operations projects in large Enterprise or Service Provider networks
  • A pragmatic approach to solving problems and driving projects, open to new ideas in an ever-changing environment
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Scripting (Python, Ansible or Perl) and cloud (AWS/Azure). Experience with MySQL/MariaDB is highly beneficial
  • A continuous strive to improve yourself and your colleagues in personal skills and experience with working in high performing Agile, Scrum and DevOps IT teams. Familiar with the methodology and way of working of these teams.
  • Willing to travel to visit prospects and customers in the region
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • A strong sense of self-motivation, an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with technology and a positive attitude!

Backend Developer

The developer we are looking for will be concentrating on realizing or improving features and functions within netYCE’s distributed server architecture. Many of the product’s functions involve dealing with internal API’s or third-party API’s. For front-end development, we use Angular 1.0 (a javascript framework), which is serviced using netYCE back-end system (Perl) with Mojolicious.

We are looking for a new colleague with the following profile:

General

  • Software developer/programmer with networking background
  • NOT a network engineer with only scripting skills

Strong skills in

  • Linux
  • Perl or Python (willing to learn and work with Perl)
  • Database MySQL or MariaDB
  • Network management

Background skills

  • Networking, TCP/IP
  • Cisco is good but can also be another vendor

Additional skills

  • JSON for API development

Interest areas

  • NetDevOps
  • SDN/NFV, Openstack, etc.
